Day 5: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai (B, L, D) (Private tour) Upon arrival at Lao Cai Station, take a shared bus transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast in the hotel, then start trekking to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of the Black H’Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. Have lunch and trek back to the hotel for a hot shower and enjoy the night in Sapa town. (App. 4 hours trekking/8 km)
Day 6: Lao Chai – Ta Van- Sapa – Hanoi (B, L, D) After breakfast get ready for the trip, and trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes. Continue along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which is one of the most beautiful areas. Have a picnic lunch on the way. Get back to Sapa by motorbike/jeep. Transfer down to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi. (App. 6 hours trekking/14 kms and 30 minutes riding). Arrive in Hanoi at 5 AM next day.

Ancestors of today’s ceramic artisans began their crafts in world famous Bat Trang during the Ly Dynasty some 10 centuries ago. You’ll witness these artisans at work as you roam down narrow alleys into shops where you’ll be able to buy their refined ceramics at unbelievable prices. Lunch in a restaurant. PM- Van Phuc Silk Village: Located 15 km west of Hanoi, Van Phuc is renowned for centuries of silk making and silk products. The streets of Van Phuc, lined with modern store fronts selling beautiful silk clothes and fabrics, are abuzz with looms and sewing machines. Day 5: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc 1 day trip (B, L, Private tour) Nearly one thousand years ago, this place used to be the Capital of Grand Viet ruled by Dinh and Le Dynasty. In spite of many feudal and historical conflicts, Hoalu still preserved its heritages with many temples and pagodas. Your one day tour will be filled with legend and myth. Additionally, one thing that make this tour the most exiting is the boat trip through winding a stream to visit Tam Coc (three grottoes) – regarded as “inland Halong Bay”. AM: At 8:00 depart to Tam Coc, take the rowboat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc – the three caves. Have lunch in a restaurant. Day 3: Hanoi – Hoa Binh, Mai Chau (B, L, D Private) Heading out of the town we travel by road to Mai Chau. This mountainous region is populated by the Muong, H’mong, Dao, and White Thai ethnic minority groups, some of which we will see on our forthcoming adventure. After lunch at Poong Coong Village near Mai Chau Town, we drive for an hour to Xa Linh to begin our trekking. We walk through the breathtaking mountain landscape and several hill villages before arriving at Hang Kia. This remote village is conquered by the H’mong hill tribe people. They are very poor, but have an interesting history and a colorful culture. Overnight at Hang Kia village.
Day 4: Mai Chau – Ninh Binh (B, L, D Private tour) After breakfast we walk on the valley floor, seeing many villagers on their daily works such as logging, herding buffalo, tilling the field or weaving brocade. Here is a chance for the shoppers to try their skills at bargaining. We then make our way following the winding roads to Man Duc. This area is populated by the Muong Hilltribe people who have settled there a long time ago. A two hour trek will enable us to explore their home land. Departing Man Duc we continue on to Cuc Phuong National Park, our final destination. Overnight at Cuc Phuong village.
Day 5: Cuc Phuong – Ninh Binh (B, L, Private tour) The national park of Cuc Phuong boasts one of the best preserved tropical forests in Vietnam. This morning we take a short drive to the park headquarters before we set off on a half day walk in the jungle. This is home to many species of plants and rare animals, several of which we may see on our trekking. After a picnic lunch we visit one of the famous caves, Nguoi Xua which still retains some vestiges of primitive man, and transfer to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. There is not much to see in this place besides two remaining temples. The first one is dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor. The second commemorates the rulers of the Le Dynasty. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Ninh Binh – Hanoi: (B, L, Private tour) Upon leaving the town, we take a short drive to Tam Coc which is also known as “Inland Halong Bay”. On arrival we board a tiny rowboat which takes us along a river through the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations to the grottoes of Tam Coc. After the impressive boat trip we continue our journey back to Hanoi. Enjoy free time in the afternoon in Hanoi. Stay at Hanoi Paradise Hotel.
